Cheryl Fox RN
Cheryl Fox, Registered Nurse and founder of Fox Pacific Academy, was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California.
Fate brought Cheryl into nursing, and it is faith that has kept her working for over 55 years. Cheryl has worked the majority of her nursing career in hospitals where she has been awarded for her service in nursing and patient care. After nearly 35 years at the bedside Cheryl retired from hospital nursing with a dream she could help people stay in their safely in their homes. In 2005, she launched her home care business out of the truck of her car while simultaneously teaching vocational nursing at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Although education was not emphasized in Cheryl's working-class, single-income household, she rose to become a respected teacher and expert in her field.
During the pandemic, she recognized a powerful truth: many capable individuals share similar backgrounds and lack access to financial resources needed to pursue high education. Meanwhile, the demand for healthcare professionals continued to grow.
Seeing both the gap and the opportunity, Cheryl founded Fox Pacific Academy, dedicated to making healthcare careers accessible to those ready to step forward.
Powered by community support and sustained through strategic grant funding, Fox Pacific Academy is building a stronger, more culturally competent healthcare workforce for Sonoma County.
Our programs create accessible, affordable pathways into healthcare careers, opening doors for individuals with the drive to succeed but limited financial resources.
